Don't let your children struggle in Math! Build their skills, confidence and improve test taking skills! I charge $45-$60.00 per hour (depending on whether in person or online and how far I have to travel) for tutoring services and tutor through Calculus. I am happy to tutor at your home, Viking School or a convenient library study room! Unfortunately, I can not tutor my current students but can happily refer you to someone who can. Testimonials:
Knowledgeable and thorough: Lisa was very knowledgeable about the common core standards and their curriculum requirements. She spoke with us before the lesson to understand the goals of the tutoring and asked about the amount of outside work we wanted. Additionally, she leverages technology to help facilitate and reinforce learning concepts. At the end of the lesson, she summarized the material covered, and identified opportunities for improvement. We have already scheduled another lesson with Lisa. She's great and highly recommended!

6th grade student being moved to Algebra 1 as a 7th grader
You worked with our son xxxx earlier in the school year to help get him on track with the Gifted math. He was having such a hard time and did not have much confidence where math was concerned! Ever since he worked with you he has been able to work his way back to an A in Mrs xxxx class….(in fact he has all A’s right now). He told us the other day that he is being moved up to the “faster” gifted class for next year. Not exactly sure what that means but I guess this is a good thing!
Anyway thank you very much for your help, It definitely paid off!

There is nothing worse than having your child lack confidence. My child is a “B” math student, but it was an area he did not feel confident and he seemed to dread working on his math. I told him that math is an area that gets progressively harder as you approach high school and that I was concerned he would need some extra dedicated time to keep up with his math learning. I feel being proactive is important to ensure they don’t fall behind.
My son did NOT want to be tutored. He was upset that I was suggesting a tutor and said he would not go and I was implying he was stupid.
I set him up on a weekly schedule and I was so excited when he walked out after his session and said “that was fun mom”.
Investing in my child and giving him the experience of “making math fun” has prepared him for a successful high school math experience.
I am very grateful to Lisa for helping him feel empowered to be able to succeed!

Lisa is patient and very knowledgeable in math. Our son has continued his growth in algebra and geometry under Lisa’s guidance. I highly recommend Lisa for your child and am happy to speak to you if you have any additional questions.

Lisa is an ideal tutor. As a classroom teacher, she has both extensive subject knowledge and effective instructional methods. Working with Lisa has dramatically changed by son's feelings about math. It has not only improved my son's math problem solving skills and grades, but also his confidence in the subject.

My son had a great 1st session! He said she was nice and he gained understanding
